Senior Science Manager - Nutrition

These research and development efforts shall be fully align with the commercial goals of the Health & Nutrition division. Primary Responsibilities Scientific Data Development Oversee the development of pre-clinical & clinical data Establish study goals and develop the appropriate protocols to meet those goals AuditCROs and monitor all studies Research, organize and manage 3rd party scientific vendors Management of Pre-Clinical & Clinical Study Logistics Perform scientific literature search & collating (using Endnotes software) Handle study logistics including the preparation and the testing of study products Oversee the preparation, blinding & delivery of study products (PBO, test product, etc.) to CROs and outside vendors Review and approve Clinical Report Forms, Investigator Brochures, Informed Consent Forms Review final reports and data Prepare preliminary budgets and department approvals for review by department Sr. Director Run statistics packages on final study data as well as work with 3rd party statisticians to ensure that statistical analyses are appropriate and are done in a timely and accurate manner Document and manage projects using the IPM system/tool and other relevant management tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Scientific Manuscript preparation Run statistics - work with third party statistician Organize scientific data into tables and charts for publications Perform literature searches and prepare summary information for use in publications and maintain citation references in Endnotes Manage the submission of manuscripts to journals Monitor acceptance and prepare responses to peer reviews Marketing & Sales Support Activities Assist with and review Promotional tools for the Nutrition portfolio as required Provide scientific support to Sales & Technical Marketing as required Present technical data at various conferences and tradeshows as required Assist with Health & Nutrition's New Product Development activities as required Additional Activities Represent and serve the company's best interest at all such association meetings and conferences Develop and nurture scientific relationships with 3rd party key opinion leaders (KOLs) in industry, in government and in academia Assist with Health & Nutrition's New Product Development activities as required Maintain department records and files, and track weekly activities Maintain membership and active participation in all trade and professional associations that benefit the company Training & Management Oversee the activities of one or more Scientific Managers. Set priorities for Scientific Managers based on directions provided by the department head Ensure that department scientists are trained adequately to do their jobs Qualifications Requirements Advanced Education in Life Science (molecular biology, biochemistry, physiology, biology, endocrinology, nutrition, or similar disciplines) Ph.D. required Knowledge of toxicology is a plus Strong statistical experience as it pertains to the analysis of clinical, pre-clinical and in vitro scientific data Minimum of 5-10 years' previous industry experience, including interacting with sales & marketing, external CROs, and KOLs required Must have: Ability to drive and complete scientific research in a timely manner Ability to design, analyze, publish and present complex scientific studies and their results Ability to work cross functionally (Marketing, Sales, R&D/T, Legal, and Regulatory) Excellent command in English Excellent presentation skills High level of self-motivation, commitment, and focus Prior management of support staff= R7304

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
