Chief Estimator - Water Group

As an Chief Estimator, you will plan, coordinate, and supervise company estimating program, for a division/district of the company, providing technical and administrative direction to insure corporate objectives are met. Responsibilities Manage and administer department functions including operating budgets, staffing, wage reviews, work assignments, performance evaluations, etc Advise corporate and district management group when determining what types of projects to bid, strategies and techniques Perform Risk and Contract Management responsibilities as required Organize estimating team to prepare bids, select vendors and/or subcontractors and determine cost effectiveness of projects to be bid Delegate review of project and appropriate regulations required to construct the project to meet affirmative action requirements and minority participantion requirements Supervise and review work of assigned staff to ensure accuracy and completeness Coordinate and review schedules of projects being estimated Review total estimate of all projects to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation Monitor comparison of historical costs to estimated costs Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy and representation meetings as required Upon project completion, participate in debriefing with estimating, engineering and production teams to discuss positive and negative aspects of the project Delegate and/or monitor record keeping of bid results Conduct performance reviews of direct reports Lead and promote development of creative, innovative solutions to construction challenges Research and promote more effective and efficient estimating methods Chair JV meetings and hand over meetings Manage escrows documents Understands best value approach to winning new work Maintains knowledge of Flatiron's company values and strategic plan Support published corporate policies Perform additional assignments per management's direction Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 15 years estimating & cost control related experience and/or training Or 20 years related experience and/or training Construction, design, finance and management experiencerequired Expert knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software Job ID: 2109

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
