Summary:
Quality Control Analysts I performs laboratory tests to ensure quality and quantity of known samples; utilizing, but not limited to, HPLC, FTIR, ELISA, ICP-MS and Protein Analyzer. When product specifications are not met, proper out of specification procedures are followed to confirm non-conformance. The Laboratory Manager will instruct Analysts on how to address issues and recommend various analytical techniques to achieve qualification/quantification. Analysts should be self-motivated, work well on a team, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong analytical skills.

Essential Functions: ?
The essential functions of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to, those specifically identified in this description. The Company may, at its sole discretion, add to, change, or expand the essential or marginal functions of this position.?



  • Performing laboratory tests with reliable and precise data to support products and raw materials release


  • Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following SOP and maintaining lab records


  • Knowledge of GLP and GMP is a plus


  • Maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment, for example HPLCs, FTIR, Protein Analyzer, etc.


  • Ensuring the consumables need for laboratory operation are well-stocked and resourced


  • Recording and sometimes interpreting results to present to senior as well as junior colleagues


  • Using computers and performing mathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs


  • Keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can increase efficiency and improve robustness and reliability test results


  • Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks while working in the laboratory


  • Ability to search through USP & AOAC and other relevant reference books/methods


  • Ability to write and review standard operating procedures

Knowledge/Skills:



  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.


  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.


  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.


  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.?


  • Work well with others and contribute to a positive environment.





  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Internet Explorer and Contact Manager.


  • Be able to work a flexible schedule including daily overtime and weekends.

Education/Experience:
BS/BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science

Reporting Relationships:
The Quality Control Analyst reports directly to the Laboratory Manager.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
