Senior Scheduler

As a Senior Scheduler for the based in the Benicia Office, you will perform all planning and scheduling activities for assigned projects. The Project Scheduler role requires an advanced level of proficiency with Primavera P6, managing and reporting earned value, and an ability to apply a developed knowledge of construction methodologies, primarily in heavy civil infrastructure projects. This position will provide support to various projects throughout Northern California. The Project Scheduler's primary responsibilities are listed below:
Responsibilities
Interface with estimating, project managers, operations, and subcontractors to obtain project executive plans, discuss impact of work and participate in corrective action proposals for timely completion
Provide planning support to the estimating and project management team
Produce project control reports, trend analysis, forecasts and cost projections
Update project schedule, monitor progress, and compare the updates to the baseline to report progress
Contribute to the development of working schedules for Estimating, prior to proposal date, which sufficiently illustrate the sequence of work activities and contract time
Develop baseline schedules that meet the requirement of the contract and Flatiron best practices
Maintain the schedule for assigned projects; identify and record progress, highlighting impacts to the base line schedule.
Interface with Operations, Owners, and Subcontractors to discuss impact of work and resolution of problems
Contribute to the development of bid / proposal schedules for Estimating, which sufficiently illustrate the contract requirements, sequence of work activities, and contract time
Incorporate Resource and/or Cost Loading data into schedules as required
Serve as technical advisor for the solution of difficult production problems
Consult the appropriate project team members and estimating procedures as a means of ensuring that proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work
Provide information as needed on the content, modification, or presentation of project schedule
Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity
Understand all contract requirements relating to the project schedule
Prepare schedule updates along with a narrative for submission to the owner
Prepare time impact analysis schedules & assist in claim preparation
Prepare weekly look ahead schedules and communicate to project team
Maintains knowledge of Flatiron's company values and strategic plan
Provide monthly status reports to Western Division Scheduling Manager on all assigned projects
Perform additional assignments per management's direction
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field from an accredited institution
Or 5 years of scheduling experience and/or training working on heavy highway or civil construction projects
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Primavera P6.
Demonstrated knowledge of Earned Value tracking and reporting
Previous scheduling and field experience on large scale heavy civil projects ($20m+) is required, including projects such as complex bridge structures, roads and highways, as well as railroads, light rail and water treatment
Previous experience planning and scheduling projects that have extensive self-perform work
Experience working within multiple procurement methodologies preferred (Design Build, Bid-Build, GC/CM, CM/GC, CMAR etc.)
Strong ability to work independently and analyze complex construction projects quickly and accurately
Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate resolution of complex issues
Experience working on a projects within live operating environments with be highly regarded
