The everyday duties of this job will be solar system troubleshooting, site evaluations, monitoring connection, PTO, system final inspections and submitting permits.
Troubleshoot a variety of solar and battery systems such as SolarEdge, Tesla, Enphase (AC/DC troubleshooting).
Coordinate and maintain the warranty and service schedule.
Receive and process service requests.
Troubleshoot service issues.
Commission monitoring onsite.
Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks.
Perform QA analysis on existing solar systems.
Conduct electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
Diagnose inverters.
Choose and configure setup locations.
Configure Wi-Fi and Cellular network.
The ideal candidate must have the following:
3 years of Solar Field/Service Technician experience.
3 years of Solar Installation/troubleshooting experience.
Solar Technician should have an ability to commission solar and battery systems for Enphase, SolarEdge and Tesla Energy storage (Tesla Powerwall 2 certification) experience is a plus.
Able to troubleshoot and analytically determine possible issues.
Must be able to conduct shading analysis.
Must not be afraid of heights.
Capable of carrying 50 lbs.
Able to set up ladder and climb 2 stories.
Comfortable working with a variety of technologies and equipment - mobile device apps and laptop software Ability to adhere to company safety policies and procedures including ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safely.
Able to write field reports in a timely, efficient manner.
